In-Patient Services

In-Patient Services
Our purpose-built ten-bedded In-Patient unit, was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen in July 2002. A variety of accommodation is provided to suit patients' needs and all our rooms have en-suite facilities. There are also specially equipped bathrooms where less mobile patients can enjoy a relaxing bath. A variety of treatments are available in our therapy rooms.

Services to patients living with a life-limiting illness and their families are provided free of charge.

The unique feature of our In-Patient facility is that people with a life-threatening illness can receive holistic care in a specialist palliative care environment. Patients are able to remain within their own locality, close to friends and family.

Therapy Room

Some patients visit the In-Patient Unit for short periods to enable us to monitor and control their symptoms. They are then able to return home feeling more comfortble and able to continue with their lives.

Other patients will spend time with us for respite care to give them and their carers a break.

Ensuite Bedroom

Some patients will be admitted for care at the end of their lives when it is not possible to care for them at home. During this time we provide support for their families. Guest accommodation is available to enable them to remain at the Hospice, close to their loved one for as long as is needed.

Many people choose to make donations in place of flowers at the funeral of a loved one who has been cared for here at Lindsey Lodge. If you wish to do this it can be arranged with the funeral director.

Remembering someone special

You will remember someone special in all sorts of ways. Supporting Lindsey Lodge so we can help others, by setting up a tribute fund, offers you a way of ensuring the memory of your loved one is always there.

We have linked up with another charity, Much Loved, which offers a free service to help you create a sensitive, personalised and lasting memorial website in memory of your loved ones. If you wish you can make a donation to Lindsey Lodge and/or to Much Loved. Just click the button to find out more.
