A nurse takes me to the Great Wall of China...

Hey folks I'm on the Great Wall of China.  My friend Nan brought me along on her holiday to China and Japan.  Nan is a nurse in the day-care unit at Lindsey Lodge Hospice.  She loves her job and, fortunately for me, also loves travelling.

Lindsey Lodge day-care unit is a busy place with up to 14 patients popping in for all kinds of care, together with people for lymphoedema treatment.  Nan took me to Beijing Zoo to show me some wild bears called Panda's - and there was me thinking I was pretty wild! 

Plans are forging ahead with building work fo rthe 2008 Olympics and nan brought back an original t-shirt which we can use in a raffle.  Thanks Nan.

After China it across to Japan where I got excited by a trip on the 'bullet train' and trip to see some Sumo wrestlers.

Nan said she was pleased she didn't have to bath those guys!

This weekend (13th October) Alison, our Epworth shop manager, together with volunteers Janet and Chris, and Rob and Paul are setting off on a Great Wall of China Trek.  Good luck from everyone here at Lindsey Lodge.
