2012 marks a momentous milestone for Lindsey Lodge Hospice, celebrating 20 years of providing care for people in the North Lincolnshire area.  This year also celebrates 25 years since planning and fundraising began for the building of the hospice.

During the 20 years of operation the hospice has cared for and supported an estimated 145,000 patients and immediate family from the North Lincolnshire area.  Financially the hospice has developed from an annual turnover of under £100,000 in 1992 to now over £2 million with operating cost of over £1.9 million.

Although our care and support for patients living with a life-limiting illness and their families is free, it isn't without cost. This year it will cost Lindsey Lodge over £1,900,000 to keep running - that's well over £3.50 for every minute, every day of the year. So every £1 raised is precious and is gratefully received.

Leaving a gift for Lindsey Lodge Besides providing day care services to help people have the best quality of life, part of our care is for people towards the end of life. Many individuals and families choose to request donations in place of flowers at the funeral of a loved one. You may wish to consider this way of recognising the care provided by Lindsey Lodge. All funeral directors offer to collect donations if you do not wish to do so. Leaving a gift to Lindsey Lodge in your Will is also something that many people choose to do, once those closest to them have been considered. Without such gifts Lindsey Lodge would not have developed in the way it has and future developments can be helped tremendously by such gifts.
